| 内容記述 | [Abstract] Fundamental competencies for working persons are defined as “the basic abilities required in working together with various people in the workplace and in the local communities”, and consist of three competencies including action, thinking, and teamwork (The Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry, 2008)．As it has become harder to acquire these competencies in natural settings these days, university education is expected to cultivate fundamental competencies for working persons. The purpose of the present study was to develop a scale to measure the fundamental competencies for working persons through which we can show evidence of whether university education actually improves these competencies of students. Four psychologists developed 37 items with reference to Saido (2011). We conducted a survey with these items for 331 university students. Through factor analysis, we extracted four factors, including “ability to communicate,” “ability to initiate,” “ability to cooperate,” and “ability to think.” The reliability and validity of the scale was confirmed. | |||||||||||||||||||||
