| 内容記述 | [Abstract] Class-scheduling of a school is often very complicated and time-consuming due to some factors, which are strict limitation of availabilities of teachers, lack of facilities, and mixture of classes based on various criteria such as proficiency levels and the structure of courses that are in transition. The purpose of this paper is to contribute to overcoming this problem by means of considering an algorithm of automatic class-scheduling. The idea of mathematical programming is adopted here, because of the following reasons; it is expected to give the answer that maximizes the quality of the scheduling in feasible cases, and to detect the main factor that causes breakdown in infeasible cases. Firstly, we formulate an actual class-scheduling as a format of mathematical programming. Secondly, we solve the small-sized formulated mathematical programming problem by Excel Solver, which is commercial software solving those kinds of problems. Lastly, we enumerate future works for this research. | |||||||||||||
