| 内容記述 | 戦前, 都市近郊私鉄の兼営事業の1つにターミナル・デパート(百貨店)がある。大阪の場合, 阪急百貨店がその代表であるが, 小稿では同じ大阪にあって, キタに対するミナミの玄関口として阿倍野(天王寺)ターミナルに創設された大鉄百貨店(現, 近鉄百貨店阿倍野本店)にスポットをあてている。同店の創設事情を, 本体の大阪鉄道(現, 近畿日本鉄道南大阪線)との関わりから明らかにしている。同店は本体の鉄道事業とは別会社組織で結成されたが, もし兼営事業としていれば「ドル箱」となるほど収益をあげていた。ただし, 阪急百貨店と比較すると利益率は6割程度で, 実額においても見劣りのするものだった。 （英文） Before World War II, the suburban railway corporations managed terminal department stores as one of their diversified businesses. Daitetsu department store in the Minami gateway, Abeno (Tennoji) in Osaka, is discussed here. It is not as famous as the Hankyu department store in the Kita gateway. However, it is significant in this study because this type of research is rare. Circumstances concerning the establishment of the Daitetsu department store are discussed. | |||||||||
