| 内容記述 | 本稿では, 東北鉄道の株式募集の実態を, 同社の株式募集用のパンフレット「鉄道廼効益」(1881年11月)と, 飛騨地方での株式募集の状況を示す「飛騨地方派出紀行」(1882年 2～3月)によって検討した。「鉄道廼効益」は, 鉄道の国民経済や地域経済の発展に及ぼす効果を説き, とりわけ経済発展の遅れた北陸地方には鉄道を敷設する必要があることを力説していた。東北鉄道の株式募集については, これまで県令, 書記官ないしは旧領主などによる「経済外的強制」のみが強調されてきたが, 飛騨地方の高山町, 古川町および舟津町の名望家たちは, 「鉄道廼効益」にみられるような鉄道の「効益」をよく理解し, 株式募集に応じていたのである。 （英文） The aim of this article is to examine the recruitment of stocks by Tohoku Railway Company in the early of 1880's. The company made an application for establishment in August, 1881. The company planed to construct the railway along to the route of Hokuriku highway, and dispatched Mr. Mitsumi Kondo who was a member of the organizing committee to Hida area for the recruitment of stocks from February to March in 1882. The state of the recruitment of stocks was described in the record which was written by Mr. Mitsumi Kondo. Then, we clarify the recognition for the railway by the men of high repute in Hida area by analyzing this record. | |||||||||
