内容記述 [Abstract] In today's world, music always reverberates in our lives, and we live in a world where we can easily listen to and sing our favorite songs on TV, smartphones, etc., without reading musical scores or playing a piano accompaniment.
Moreover, today's children search for their favorite singers and songs on YouTube, etc., and just by listening to the sound source, they can sing very well in a way that looks exactly like the singer. These days, in music classes at kindergartens, nursery schools, and elementary schools, teachers do not often read music scores and practice piano accompaniment, nor do children sing while looking at music scores. On the other hand, many teachers are now having students memorize songs by ear, relying on CDs and YouTube.
At the university and junior college where the author belongs, many children with no piano experience who grew up in this way and aspired to become childcare workers or elementary school teachers had to work very hard to earn the credits in "playing the piano," a required course or a course to be taken. Many university and junior college students who have never played the piano are faced with a situation where they are having a hard time earning credits.
There are many students who have never played or even touched the piano, cannot read music, do not know the difference between the treble clef and the bass clef, and do not even know the types of notes, such as # and ♭. In the 14 sessions of the first semester, private lesson instruction in a short class of about 15 minutes per student on average was insufficient time for explanation and instruction to help students complete the many pieces of music assigned to them. As a result, the students did not understand the music and would not play the assigned pieces.
After all, many students dropped out or failed to complete all the assigned pieces and did not receive credit.
Therefore, in order to make it easy to understand in a short class and to make the practice smooth, I distributed and explained my own "explanatory score printout" so that the students could practice hard without abandoning the training. I would like to discuss the progress and practice results of students who have grown to be able to read music scores over the years and play various songs smoothly with both hands, and to continue teaching to many students who have never played the piano or who are not good at it.
