| 内容記述 | [本旨]本稿では，ヴェブレンがシカゴ大学に在籍した期間（1892-1906）に公開した３つの著作を検討した。まず，論文「経済学はなぜ進化論的科学ではないのか」（Why is Economics not an Evolutionary Science ? 1898.）を取りあげたが，経済学は進化論的科学として分類できないと彼は主張した。次に，『有閑階級の理論』（The Theory of the Leisure Class：An Economic Study in Evolution of Institutions, 1899.）では，business（ビジネス），management（管理）という用語を用いたが，アメリカのビジネスを支配する階級，特に，産業の総師（captains of industry）について検討した。そして，『ビジネスの事業の理論』（The Theory of Business Enterprise, 1904.）では，たとえば，製作者本能と顕示的な消費（浪費）のような，多くの対概念を用いて，アメリカの資本主義体制とビジネスの活動の特徴を明らかにしようとした。ヴェブレンは，制度派経済学（institutional economic）の開祖とみなされてきたが，著作では，現在の経営学でも用いられている，経営戦略（business strategy），経営倫理（business ethics），経営管理（business management）などの用語が駆使されているため，経営経済学（business economy），マネジメント論（The Theory of Management）の父と評価されうる。 [Abstract] In this treatise, we conducted research on 3 Veblen's writings, when he was staff on Business Economic in Chicago university. In the first writing,“Why is Economics not an Evolutionary Science ? 1898”, he maintained that Economics are not an Evolutionary Science. In second book,“The Theory of the Leisure Class：An Economic Study in Evolution of Institutions, 1899”, he used terms "business" and“management”, and analysised about the leaders in the enterprise of American Business, he called them“captains of industry”. In third book,“The Theory of Business Enterprise, 1904”, he used many pair terms, such as“ workmanship and conspicuous consumption”, and aimd at the American traits of Capitalistic System and business actions. Veblen, T. was the founder of institutional economic. He made use of common terms of business economic, such as“business strategy”,“business ethics”,“business management”. He will gain fame “the father of business economy”. |
