| 内容記述 | [要旨]ペンギン類は、同種内で雌雄個体間に外見の差が少ないため、外見からは個体の雌雄を正確に判別することが困難である。その一方で、日本国内で飼育され、動物園・水族館で展示されているペンギン類を維持し、展示を継続するためには、国内での効率の良いペンギン類の繁殖が必要であり、その第一段階として、ペンギン類の各個体の性別を知ることは必須である。本稿では、当研究室で実施しているPCR 法によるペンギン類の雌雄判別について紹介する。[英文抄録] Since there is little difference in appearance between males and females, it is difficult to accurately distinguish the sex of each individual penguins from the appearance. On the other hand, in order to maintain and continue the exhibition of penguins bred at zoos and/or aquariums in Japan, efficient breeding of penguins is necessary. As a step of efficient breeding, it is essential to know the sex of each individual penguins. In this article, I will introduce the sexing of penguins by the PCR method carried out in my laboratory. | |||||||||
