Because many transitive and intransitive verbs often have very similar pronunciation, they are paired so that studying Japanese vocabulary and grammar becomes easier. In other languages, there are not always many transitive and intransitive verb pairs, so Japanese language learners need to study that there are similarities and differences between Japanese and other languages. In this article, the construction and other features of Japanese transitive and intransitive verbs will be discussed. The contents of “The Song of Transitive and Intransitive Verbs\" (July 2017), as one of the music teaching materials for Japanese language education,will also be explained. The order of teaching transitive and intransitive verbs will also be mentioned.
