| 内容記述 | [抄録]米国大統領就任式における新大統領のスピーチは最高の政治コミュニケーションだと言われる。 スピーチの中にはレトリックが豊富に含まれており, そのテクストを対象に様々な種類のディスコース分析がなされてきた。 何故なら, このような分析研究を通して, 隠喩が明らかになり, 新政権の選好や、アメリカ社会の変化を予見することができるからだ。 しかし, スピーチの前に聖職者によってなされるinvocation (開会祈祷) の談話分析は軽視されてきた。本稿ではinvocationも戦略的な言語で表現されており, 隠喩が含まれていると主張し, オバマ大統領1期就任式 (2009) と2期就任式 (2013) のinvocationを対象にレトリック分析を試みた。 その結果, invocationが放つ宗教コミュニケーションというスピーチ技法も就任式を構成している重要な要素であることを示した。 [Abstract] The inaugural speech given by the U.S. new President is believed to be the supreme example of political communication. The speech is generally full of rich rhetorical expressions. Many types of the discourse analysis of those speeches have been made. It is because some metaphor becomes apparent and the characteristic of the new administration as well as signs of social changes in America could be foreseen through those studies of analysis. However, the discourse analysis of inaugural invocation offered by the clergymen before the speech has not been given attention to. This paper gave rhetorical analysis to two types of invocation at the first Obama inauguration in 2009 and at his second term inauguration in 2013. This paper argues that each invocation has strategic discourse and includes remarkable metaphors. The author concludes that the speech skill of religious communication released by invocation is an integral part of the ceremony. | |||||||||
