As a part of the project, this study develops the input system that disabled persons give instructions to a robot. When the symptom of the disabled person becomes severely worse, the remarkable depression of the function of the arms happens as well as the function of lower limbs. In this case \"expiration and inspiration switch\" using breath ismainly used as the input device to PCs. Breath is the last option function left by a human being, therefore it becomes effective means when they operate devices. The present conditions about breath control system, however, have only the function as the switch even though they will have a lot of capability to control devices optionally. In this study, we pay attention to breathing as the option-related high function that a human being could control. And we report the expiration mouse by which severely disabled persons are able to operate a PC, an environmental control unit and other equipment by the use of data of the expiration that we collected with sensors. (1) Experiment to examine possibility of the optional control of the breathing We detect flow quantity of the breath with a flow sensor for gas and display data on a screen. And I made an experiment whether or not the subject changed a breath flow and could follow the targeted value when the targeted value on a screen was suddenly changed. As the result of it, we found participants give chase to the targeted value which was changed. (2) Development of the breath mouse Because the possibility that the control of the apparatus could use a breath flow was found out, we carried out the study of the computer input device (breath mouse) using the breath flow. The device uses four expirations patterns \"strongly blow, weakly blow, strongly suck, and weakly suck \".We assign these patterns to mouse \"up, down, right, left\" control. In addition, we designed the device so that it was possible for a left-click when I blew on the breath that it was short once, and was strong. The system judged that we absorbed the breath that the right-click was short once, and was strong with a right-click.
