This essay examines through discourse analysis the definitions of the three words,‘ carrier education,’ ‘future course counseling’(a term that has long been used in high schools), and ‘guidance,’ and clarifies they are used for almost identical purposes. It also shows how these words are actually used and that they are inter-related and overlapped each other, but not identical.
