内容記述タイプ Abstract
内容記述 <Summary> Tunas are the family Scombridae and bluefin tuna is the important fisheries resources in the world. In recently, the marine stock of bluefin tuna has been drastically decreased by strong catch effort of commercial fisheries. Several international fish resource management committees discuss how to control the amount of yearly catch of them. And the IATTC decided to decrease Atlantic bluefin tuna catch amount less than 2.2 metric ton since 2010. Similar discussion is beginning in southern bluefin tuna resources as well as Pacific bluefin tuna. It is a prompt subject to supply bluefin tuna enough to the market produced in aquaculture net pen, so called "closed full-life cycle bluefin tuna cultivated in aquaculture" instead of natural resources. However there are many difficult problems remaining to establish the mass production system of aquaculture, such as; technical problem to establish how to decrease mass mortality of early life stage during larvae and juvenile, development of digestible artificial food item, and the control system to keep the best environmental condition in aquaculture net pen. The thesis was presented the fundamental information how to establish the best environmental condition for the aquaculture of Pacific bluefin tuna Thunnus orientalis, based on the physiological characteristics.Tunas are unique among teleosts for their endothermic capacity and cardiovascular physiology. Adult bluefin tuna maintain a higher body temperature than the environment (endothermy) , enabling them to migrate widely in the ocean and to hunt for prey in deep, cold water where they can maintain an elevated body temperature. The body temperature analysis of bluefin tuna is applicable as well to establish a comfortable environmental condition in aquaculture net pen such as to select the best thermally mild location and size of swimming space in accordance to growth, estimation of efficiency of digestion in different food items comparing with water temperature. As the temperatures are the most important factor of bluefin tuna aquaculture, the author focused on the correlation of temperature fluctuation between body and environment as the main parameter to estimate efficiency. The thesis iscomposed in four chapters and the measurement and analysis are based on the bio-telemetry method, which is able to offer the effective data in swimming tuna and environmental information simultaneously.
