| 内容記述 | The River Yura (Yura-gawa) is the longest river in Kyoto Prefecture, Central Japan. It has a length of about 146 km and flows down in the northern region of Kyoto Prefecture from Mt. Mikuni (776 m above the sea-level), through two cities Ayabe and Fukuchiyama, to the Bay of Wakasa (the Japan Sea). The authors studied recently on the diatom vegetation of this river and found there 20 genera and 150 forms (including two new forms) of diatom. The distribution of the dominant forms from the upper course to the lower course was ascertained as follows; Gomphonema tetra-stigmatum→Cymbella turgidula var. nipponica →Achnanthes convergens→Nitzschia sp. (V)→Nitzschia frustulum. | |||||||||||||
