| 内容記述 | [Author abstract]We observed prawns escaping from small prawn pots. The data obtained to develop a numerical expression to help evaluate the mechanism by which prawns are cut in such pots. To assess its validity, experiments were done in a tank using different six model pots and five levels of prawn density. The behavior of prawns near the entrance funnel of the pot was recorded by a video camera for three hours in each experiment. The model equation satisfactorily fitted the changes over time in the numbers of prawns remaining in the pot after the beginning of the experiment. We found that the escape behavior of prawns from pots was affected by the height of the neck of the pot above the base under the conditions in this study, and that it was also influenced by population, because of interference among individuals. [著者抄録]水槽実験によりエビの脱かごの構造モデルについて検討した。かご内の尾数の時間的変化は基本的にはモデル式で表わせた。脱かごの阻害の程度を示す移動阻害度指数はかごの底面から入り口までの距離の関数として表わせた。 | |||||||||||||
