| 内容記述 | [Author abstract]In this paper, attention is focused on the evaluation of the bottom texture by the prawn, Macrobrachium nipponense. To identify how this environmental condition affects the spatial distribution of individuals, a series of tests was done in a tank, with a bottom covered with gravel on one half and with small stones on the other half. The number of prawns that settled on each side was counted by eye when each individual was introduced into the tank. The results suggested that the spatial distribution of M. nipponense in a given space was partly controlled by the bottom texture under the conditions used in this study, and distribution was also influenced by population, because of interactions among individuals. Morishita's equation satisfactorily explained the changes in the number of individuals that settled on each side.[著者抄録]底質の異なる場の選択性についてテナガエビを使って室内実験から検討を加えた.その結果,本種の場底質の選択特性は底質環境と生息密度に影響されることが示唆された. | |||||||||
