| 内容記述 | This paper describes and analyzes the main features of The Taiwan banana at each stage of (1) growing and production by farmers, (2) marketing and export through The Taiwan Provincial Fruit Marketing Cooperative (TPMC), (3) The import system and selling price seaboard and (4) marketing and consumption in Japan. There has been strong latent demand for The Taiwan banana as a higher quality and sweeter banana in Japanese market. However, exporters of Philippines and Equador have began to produce and export the sweeter highland banana to Japan and other countries. Taiwan's comparative advantages in Japan are going to inevitably disappear in the future. Therefore, in order to maintain and strengthen Taiwan's international competitive power, Taiwan needs to reconsider its usual system and customs of production and marketing, and to establish new measures for the encouragement of banana production and a rational system of banana trading especially in regard to big importing countries such as Japan. | |||||||||||||||||||||
