Janus粒子は, 粒子表面に2つ以上の異なる性質を持つ(例えば疎水性と親水性を併せ持つ)特殊な粒子で, 近年の合成技術の発達によって作成可能となった. 本研究では Janusナノ粒子の自己集合構造や自己集合過程を分子シミュレーションによって調べた. その結果, これまで観察されなかった新しい集合構造や相を発見し, また規則的な相が現れるいくつかの条件を特定することができた. 研究成果の概要(英文): Self-assembly of nanoparticles is used in various functional materials that are familiar to our daily lives. In other words, the self-assembly and those functions have a strong relation. The Janus nanoparticle is a unique anisotropic nanoparticle that typically has two or more distinct functional surface regions (for example, hydrophobic and hydrophilic regions). In this study, I have performed molecular simulations to investigate morphologies of the self-assembled Janus nanoparticles.
