| 内容記述 | This paper reports details about the first online exchange between Kindai University Technical College and its British partner, Cheshire College South and West. Based on this experience of the online session, this paper also includes a discussion on the event’s influence on the attendants and its effect on English education, as well as recommendations of potential software for online exchange, difficulties, improvement measures, and future prospects. The content presented here also suggests paths toward successfully resuming exchange visits between the two colleges, which had been interrupted due to COVID-19. One positive effect of the first exchange meeting was an increase in the number of students aiming to take the English 4-skills test, which includes speaking and writing. One issue to be addressed for the next exchange is the possibility of grouping participants according to each student's English proficiency, and for this purpose, Remo can be deployed as a useful virtual event tool in addition to Teams and Zoom. In the next session, it is recommended to use half of the time for teaching each other’s native language in Japanese as well as English, so that both colleges can benefit from the collaborative approach. | |||||||||
