As a result, the following seven characteristics were identified. 1. The initiative and coordination role played by Tottori Prefecture in creating the environment and conditions that enable the implementation of measures by the 19 municipalities; 2. The publication of guidebooks and distribution using SNS in the provision of childcare information; 3. At the pre-school stage, there are unique measures such as reduced or free childcare fees and support for family childcare, etc.; 4. At the compulsory education stage, there are unique measures such as support for school attendance, learning support and after-school support, etc.; 5. At the stage of high school and university students, there are subsidies for long-distance commuting expenses and scholarship repayment support programmes, etc.; 6. With regard to single-parent families, there is a school enrolment allowance and a child pension, etc.; and 7. With regard to relief measures for the COVID-19, support for pregnant women, school children and young people can be seen. In addition, firstly, with regard to 'seamless support', there are several municipalities that considered not only the period from pregnancy to child rearing, but also compulsory education, high school education and even adolescence in Tottori Prefecture.
