It is examined the achievements of research on in-service experience and learning of Japanese nursery teachers and future research in this field. The target is peer-reviewed papers published in domestic academic journals since 2000. As a result of the analysis, the main themes in the research so far were: (1) experience regarding the difficulty of Japanese nursery teachers, (2) reflection, and (3) the role of coworkers. Overcoming difficult experiences is an important trigger for the growth of nursery teachers.
