| 内容記述 | [ABSTRACT] An immunohistochemical study of laminin in gastric cancers was performed. The localization of laminin in the cancer tissues and further the relations with the histological type and hepatic metastasis were also examined. The materials were obtained from gastric cancers removed from 185 patients, and formalin-fixed paraffin sections were prepared. An immunohistological stain with rabbit anti -human laminin antibody as the primary antibody and by the ABC method was performed. The positive rate for laminin of the whole gastric cancer was 25.4％. According to histological type, the positive response rate was 48.3％ for well differentiated adenocarcinomas, 35.4％ for moderately differentiated ones and only 8.0％ for poorly differentiated ones, the higher the degree of histological differentiation, the higher the positive response rate (P＜0.01). When poorly differentiated adenocarcinomas were classified into solid, medullary and scirrhous types according to the classification of gastric cancer resear ch society, all the 4 positive cases were of the solid type. The positive response rate was 15.5％ in cases with hepatic metastasis and 91.7％ for hepatic metastatis lesions, the rate being higher in cases of hepatic metastasis (P＜0.001). In poorly differentiated adanocarcinomas in particular 2 out of 2 cases complicated with hapatic metastasis were positive for laminin and were of the solid type. As the result, laminin-positive cancers showed hematogenous metastasis by participating in the mass formation of cancer cells and in the attachment of the cancer cells to the basement membrane in the target organs during the process of hematogemous metastasis. It is further suggested that the convenitional relation between the histological type and hepatic metastasis can be supported from the standpoint of laminin stain. | |||||||||
