内容記述 | The Otaki town office was completed in 1959 in Otaki town, Chiba prefecture. The building is reinforced concrete construction two-stories, designed by architect Kenji Imai who was the professor of Waseda University. The exterior of the building is an exposed concrete, known as one of the Japan's most modernism buildings, was awarded The Prize of AIJ (Architectural Institute of Japan). The building was a beautiful design, but leakage occurred due to insufficient maintenance and the floor space became small due to the increased work volume. The plan to rebuild was issued there, but the value of the building was reconsidered and decided to continue to use, in 2008, the competition to restore the original town office and construct a new town office was implemented. The 104 proposals applied for the competition, the proposal of Chiba Manabu Architects won and the construction was done. In this paper, we focused on the seismic retrofitting of the original town office from 104 proposals, investigated what kind of reinforcement method was proposed, and analyzed the result. | |||||||||
