| 内容記述 | Many aspects of human neural function remain unknown. The reason is the difficulty in conducting straightforward research using human neural cells. Previously, neural cell research relied on primary animal cells or cultured cells, but the results obtained sometimes did not reflect the behavior of cells in the human nervous system. Currently, iPS cells (induced pluripotent stem cells) and ES cells (embryonic stem cells) are differentiated and used for neural function research. However, this requires advanced techniques and extensive equipment, making there a desire for human neural cells obtainable through simpler methods. In this study, we investigated various conditions to identify optimal differentiation conditions for cells usable in human nervous system research by administering retinoic acid (RA), nerve growth factor (NGF), and brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) to the human neuroblastoma cell line SK-N-SH. The combination of RA, NGF, and BDNF suggested a closer differentiation toward neural cells. We also demonstrated that the differentiated cells possess human neuronal cell function and indicated their suitability for human neural function research. Further research is needed, but studies using differentiated neural cells are expected to provide important foundational data for drug development targeting neurological disorders and dementia. | |||||||||||||||||||||
