| 内容記述 | This paper examines the impact of the 1927 Mississippi River Flood from the perspectives of racial discrimination, economic crisis, and great migration. The great disaster exacerbated racial discrimination in the affected areas, but at the same time, through the newspaper’s disaster reporting, it increased the political influence of black people. Furthermore, the economic damage caused by the disaster had a significant impact not only on the affected areas but also on financial capital in the North. As a result, America sought to shift from laissez-faire to large-scale government intervention. Furthermore, the flood prompted black people in the South to migrate to the North, spreading racial discrimination throughout the United States. | |||||||||
