| 内容記述 | わが国における高齢糖尿病患者数は著しく増加しており、糖尿病治療におけるサルコぺニア予防・管理対策の構築は喫緊の課題である。糖尿病患者におけるサルコペニア発症に関与する因子の解明とともに、予防策の探索を行った。サルコペニア発症因子に関する解析では、１型と２型糖尿病のサルコペニア頻度の違いを明らかにするとともに、糖尿病患者のサルコペニア予防において痩身の回避と血糖コントロールの重要性を明らかとした。また、高齢糖尿病患者の生活機能における解析では、生活・身体機能、認知機能のそれぞれの評価指標間における関連性を明らかとした。 | |||||||||

| 内容記述 | The number of elderly diabetes patients in Japan is increasing significantly, and the development of strategies for the prevention and management of sarcopenia in diabetes treatment is an urgent issue. We investigated the factors involved in the pathogenesis of sarcopenia in elderly diabetic patients and explored preventive measures. In the analysis of factors contributing to sarcopenia, we clarified the differences in sarcopenia prevalence between type 1 and type 2 diabetes, and demonstrated the importance of avoiding underweight and maintaining proper glycemic control in the prevention of sarcopenia among elderly diabetic patients. Furthermore, in the analysis of daily and physical function in elderly diabetic patients, we identified associations among various assessment indices of daily living activities, physical function, and cognitive function. | |||||||||
