| 内容記述 | 本研究は腹部大動脈瘤の進展や破裂に至る病理学的機序の理解と、病態の進展や破裂を予防するための方法を確立することを目的としたものである。世界で行われている腹部大動脈瘤の研究によって、終末段階の病態の理解が進んだ一方で、初期から終末像に至る病態遷移には不明な点が多く存在した。我々はモデル動物の経時的病態解析を行い、「未病」段階での病態を明らかにした。食品成分が腹部大動脈瘤に及ぼす影響を評価するなかで見いだされたトリカプリンの腹部大動脈瘤退縮効果の発見を起点として、大阪大学医学部付属病院と連携し、腹部大動脈瘤患者に対するトリカプリンの影響を評価するための臨床試験が開始された。 | |||||||||

| 内容記述 | The purpose of this study is to understand the pathological mechanisms underlying abdominal aortic aneurysms, and to establish methods to prevent the progression and rupture of the disease. While global research into abdominal aortic aneurysms has advanced our understanding of the pathology in the terminal stage, there remain many unknowns regarding the transition from the early stage to the terminal stage of the disease. Understanding the early stage of the disease is particularly important for clarifying the prevention targets for abdominal aortic aneurysms, so we performed a time-course analysis of the disease in the model we established and clarified the disease in the "pre-disease" stage. As this research progressed, some of the relationships between food components and abdominal aortic aneurysms became clear, so we reported a review that discussed the relationship between food components and abdominal aortic aneurysms, taking into account global research trends. | |||||||||
