| 内容記述 | This study presents the Debugging Method Suggestion System (DMSS), designed to assist novice programmers in debugging within development frameworks such as Ruby on Rails. Given the complexity of errors that span multiple files and the unique characteristics of framework-specific issues, DMSS supports self-directed debugging by extracting similar past errors and providing instructor-annotated suggestions. An evaluation involving 53 university students in a Rails programming course demonstrated that the group using DMSS achieved a debugging success rate of 61%, which is more than twice the rate of the non-DMSS group (28%), indicating the system’s significant effectiveness. | |||||||||
