| 内容記述 | Induction of the sexual agglutinability by α-mating pheromone was studied in the secretion-deficient mutant (sec1-1) of Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Production of the agglutinins responsible for sexual agglutination was not induced by the mating pheromone after a temperature shift from 25℃ to 36℃. Ability to adsorb the pheromone also decreased after a temperature shift up. This inability of the adsorption was in parallel with the inhibition of cell growth. After a temperature shift down, both the pheromone-adsorbing ability and cell growth were recovered in parallel. These results show that the uninduction of sexual agglutinability may be due to inactivation of α-mating pheromone receptor resulting from the disorganization of plasma membrane by sec1-1 mutation. | |||||||||
