| 内容記述 | Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the neck was performed in 10 cases of hyperparathyroidism (6 primary hyperparathyroidism, 3 secondary hyperparathyroidism, 1 multiple endocrine neoplasm). All patients underwent computed tomography (CT) and neck surgery, with excision of a total of 15 parathyroid glands. MRI allowed accurate localization of abnormal parathyroid glands in 10 of 15 glands, compared with localization of 11 of 15 glands by CT. The five localization failures with MRI were all hyperplastic parathyroid glands. | |||||||||||||||||
