Initially, the new normal referred to infection control measures, but by 2025, it has expanded to include the rise of remote work, digital transformation, and structural shifts in society. Additionally, the essay analyzes the trends of international students in Japan based on data from JASSO and Project Atlas, revealing differences in data collection methods and their implications. While Japan’s inbound student numbers show signs of recovery, challenges remain in job placement and campus globalization. The study highlights the strict enrollment regulations in Japanese universities and their impact on international students. Moving forward, the paper emphasizes the need for policy adjustments, support for international graduates, and data transparency to promote a sustainable global education environment in the new normal era. | |||||||||
