| 内容記述 | This report discusses the effects of glucagon on hemodynamics after open heart surgery. Eleven adult postoperative patients were randomly assigned to receive glucagon administered by continuous intravenous infusion at a rate of 0.5 μg/kg/min. The hemodynamic effects of glucagon were twofold. Glucagon increased the cardiac index (CI) by 20% in 7 patients whose mean CI was 2.3 L/min/m2 before administration, whereas glucagon produced no appreciable change in 4 patients whose mean CI was less than 2.0 L/min/m2. As the administration of glucagon did not change heart rate, the increase in cardiac output was attributed to an increase in stroke volume. | |||||||||
