| 内容記述 | Background : To record electroretinogram (ERG) produced by the short wavelength-sensitive (SWS) cone mechanism, two photo-stimulation systems were newly designed. One system was for recording the full-field ERG and the other was for recording the focal ERG. Methods : ERG was recorded with the stimulation light from the blue light-emitting diode (LED) after 10 minutes of light adaptation under the yellow background light produced by green and red LEDs. The 5-Hz flicker ERG and 30-Hz flicker ERG were examined. Results : The SWS-cone ERG could be recorded with the 5-Hz flickering photo-stimulation, but not with the 30-Hz flickering photo-stimulation either in the full-field or focal macular ERG studies. Conclusions : These systems were quite useful for recording and studying the ERGs produced by the SWS-cone mechanism separately from the responses produced by other cone mechanisms. | |||||||||||
