| 内容記述 | The effects of sumac gall and gallic acid on hepatic injury induced by CCl4 or D-galactosamine were investigated in rats. Administration of CCl4 or D-galactosamine induced hepatic injury, increasing serum GOT and GPT levels significantly. Pretreatment with sumac gall and gallic acid reduced serum GOT and GPT levels in comparison with the control. Histological observation also confirmed that pretreatment with sumac gall and gallic acid had a protective effect against liver cell damage caused by CCl4 or D-galactosamine. The administration of sumac gall or gallic acid produced a marked decrease in the activity of NADPH-cytochrome C reductase, and a significant decrease in the content of cytochrome P450, respectively (P<0.05). Both of these substances have strong SOD-like activities in vitro. Low concentration of sumac gall or gallic acid protected and stabilized rat erythrocytes against heat-induced hemolysis and hypotonic hemolysis. | |||||||
