内容記述 Male crayfish were acclimatized to 50% concentration artificial sea water (H-ASW), and membrane potentials, chloride, potassium, and sodium ion concentrations were measured. Chloride ion concentrations calculated by the Nernst equation were compared with those obtained with chloride ion-sensitive microelectrodes. The H-ASW acclimatization decreased calculated chloride ion concentration only slightly while that of potassium ion concentration increased nearly one-and-a-half times. This tendency was also parallel to the Cl- and K+ concentrations measured directly with the chloride ion-sensitive electrode and flame photometry. With Cl- sensitive electrodes, it decreased to 0.46 of the control. The cations, K+ and Na+ were both increased with H-ASW acclimatization, though the changes were not so distinct. The intracellular chloride ion concentration decreased according to the length of the period to H-ASW acclimatization. These findings suggest that the H-ASW acclimatization yielded chloride ion permeability changes through cell membrane and this is relating to the anionic intracellular circumstance.
