| 内容記述 | A case of pain disorder associated with both psychological factors and a general medical condition (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disoders Fourth Edition : DSM-IV) is reported. The patient was a 66-year-old Asian male with onset of florid psychiatric symptoms such as severe anal pain, severe agitation and insomnia finally diagnosed with prostate cancer. Through this case, the relationship between pain disorder (DSM-IV) and prostate cancer is discussed in the light of psychological overlaying. The pain disorder was precipitated by both exaggerated abnormal body sensation from prostate cancer and psychological condition such as his social condition, premorbid character and past history of illness. It is important that the psychiatrist understand the patient as a whole human being or psycho-social being. | |||||||||
