| 内容記述 | Standard weights of the brain, spleen and pancreas of healthy Japanese were determined. Most of the specimens used were derived from autopsies in the Department of Legal Medicine, Kinki University School of Medicine and Osaka Medical Examiner's Office for past five years. The total number of specimens was 5960 of both sexes. The average weights of the normal brain, spleen and pancreas were determined according to age and gender. The weights of the brain, spleen and pancreas increased in advancing age. The maximum weight of brain was seen in males in their twenties and in females in their thirties. The spleen reached maximum weight in teenage in males, and in females in their forties. The pancreas reached maximum weight in males in their thirties, and in females in their forties. After the maximum, the weight of brain, spleen and pancreas decreased in weight gradually. | |||||||||||||||||
