| 内容記述 | The “Hadasu Road” has the highest percentage of sediment disaster risk areas among the Kumano Pilgrimage Routes Ise-ji. The most common types of damage to the roads in the mountains are fallen trees and landslides. Therefore drainage facilities and forest maintenance are necessary to maintain the roads in good condition. Local forestry workers take care of the forests on a volunteer basis, since there are no clear standards for tree falling. Since different groups are in charge of different mountain passes, it is desirable for the government to provide some management standards, and for volunteer groups to establish horizontal links and a forum for information exchange. In addition, if people do not walk on the mountain paths, vegetation will soon become overgrown and blocking the paths. It is also important that tourists continue to walk the paths, and information should be provided on how to walk safely. There is concern that the Ise-ji could be damaged by a large-scale natural disaster such as a landslide or the Nankai Trough earthquake. There are six designated emergency evacuation sites for sediment disasters within a 1km radius of the Hadasu road, however, all of which were identified as having some risk of sediment disaster. | |||||||||
