| 内容記述 | The phenomena with transparent media need some visualization techniques to capture their details for further analysis. In this study the background oriented Schlieren method was applied to some centimeter-sized flow field to visualize the transparent objects according to the difference of their refraction indices. The background oriented Schlieren method requires only a camera and a background with dots or stripes, and it is simple and inexpensive method in comparison with the traditional Schlieren method, which needs precise coordination of optical elements with costly lens and mirrors. The background oriented Schlieren method was applied to visualization of the centimeter-sized flow field and its potential in the sub-centimeter field was confirmed. | |||||||||||||
