| 内容記述 | We have studied the differences in the pharmacological effects between two short-acting and long-acting medications, using SHRSP. Long-acting medication of antihypertensive agents such as prazosine could not delay the development of hypertensive changes in the artery, and also prolong their life span. Short-acting medication of drugs such as prazosine and even norphenephrine with completely opposite action to prazosine inhibited further elevation of blood pressure with age. We should consider the physiologically homeostatic functions including the baroreceptor reflex system which readjusts the disorders to the normal state even in elderly hypertensive subjects during treatment of hypertension using suppressive agent. | |||||||||||||
