内容記述 | Relation between spontaneous active tone and degree of hypertension was examined in aorta of spontaneously hypertensive rats. Isometric tension of ring preparation was recorded in normal physiological salt solution and tension change observed after removal of Ca was considered as extracellular Ca dependent spontaneous muscle tone. Marked intrinsic active tone was observed in endothelium-removed preparation from hypertensive rats. The tone was higher in hypertensive rats with a higher blood pressure, but low in preparations from normotensive rats. In endothelium-intact preparations from hypertensive rats, the height of the tone was decreased markedly, which indicates that the endothelium plays a role to inhibit spontaneous muscle tone. The relaxing ability of endothelium was impaired more in the preparation from the hypertensive rats with higher blood pressure. It is concluded that both the increase of spontaneous active tone and impairment of endothelium function can contribute to maintenance of high blood pressure in spontaneously hypertensive rats. | |||||||||||||
