| 内容記述 | We report aphasia and manic-depressive disorder in a right handed 62-year-old woman. She had first become depressed in 1972, when she was 44 years old. Manic state subsequently developed, and she was diagnosed as having manic-depressive disorder. In january, 1987, brain thrombosis was noted by a local physician, and she began to experience difficulty in speaking thereafter. In April 1990, depressed state again became marked and she consulted our outpatient clinic. At initial examintion, she was mute. With improvement of the symptoms of depression, she began to talk, and the signs of aphasia and other abnormal behaviors could be observed. In December she was admitted to our hospital and the diagnoses of manic-depressive disorder, dementia following the cerebral vascular accident, and conduction aphasia were confirmed. In this case, the aphasa was concealed for some duration because of the muteness which had arisen from the depressed state. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
