| 内容記述 | Hypotensive effect of chronic administration of two Siamese plant powders, Imperata cylindrica (I.c.) and Phyllanthus emblica (P.e.), were examined on 6-month-old SHRSP. 3 and 5g/kg/day I.c. dosages decreased the systolic blood pressure (SBP) by 2-7% and 3-9%, respectively, during the administration 3 weeks after the start. Administration of 5g/kg/day P.e. decreased the SBP by 3-6% 4 weeks after the medication. Concomitant with hypotensive actions, 5g/kg/day I.c. and P.e. dosages increased the water intake by 21 and 14%, respectively. These findings indicate that the administration of both plant powders would cause the hypotensive effect through mainly the diuretic action on SHRSP. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
