| 内容記述 | The number of medical disputes has grown recently in Japan. The number of cases registered by The Dispute Settlement Committee of the Osaka Medical Association increased by about 4 per year for the past 20 years. One hundred and sixty-eight cased were registered in 1990. Of these, 160 cases that were registered on weekdays excluding Saturday were analyzed after time series. The number of days with no, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 disputes were 137, 77, 25, 8, 1 and 1, respectively. The mean incidence was 0.64 per day. The distribution of incidence conformed well to a Poisson distribution. Consequently, medical dispute is thought to be a statistically probable event and can occur without any malpractice. Every physician should realize that he might be at any time become involved in litigation. | |||||||||
