| 内容記述 | メタ認知は学習力を高めるための重要な要素であり，メタ認知の育成により，自己の学習をモニタリングしたりコントロールする力が高まると考えられる。メタ認知と学習の振り返りには密接な関係があることより，本研究では英語リメディアル授業で振り返りシートを用いた振り返り学習を行い，学生の学習を振り返る力の強化を図った。毎回の授業の最後を振り返りの時間とし，(1)その日の授業内容，(2)授業でわからなかったことや間違ったこと，(3)授業で得た知識の3項目について記入させた。この結果，メタ認知の活性化には振り返り学習が有効であることが検証された。 | |||||||||

| 内容記述 | Metacognition is a critical component of successful learning, this study focuses on this framework for enhancing the English ability of students in remedial English classes. Fostering metacognition supposedly improves students’ skills in monitoring and controlling their cognitive processes. Reflection, for example, is a fundamental part of the plan-monitor-evaluate process; hence, this can be an effective device for metacognitive training. Reflective learning is, therefore, used in remedial English classes to foster students’ metacognition. In each class, students wrote a reflection paper at the end of the class, focusing on three questions: (1) What was the topic of today’s class? (2) What did I not understand or misunderstand? (3) What knowledge did I acquire in today’s class? This exercise confirmed that students’ metacognition improved. | |||||||||
