In 2020, a flipped classroom approach was introduced, followed by the implementation of a story-based exercise grounded in the Goal-Based Scenario (GBS) model in 2022. Course evaluation surveys indicated high evaluations of the course materials, and the introduction of both the flipped classroom and story-based exercise significantly increased student satisfaction with course management. Furthermore, grading results revealed that the story-based exercise showed significant learning effects in the acquisition of advanced statistical methods. However, the effect of these pedagogical changes on the acquisition of basic statistical skills was less pronounced.
