| 内容記述 | Clinical characteristics of primary duodenal carcinoma were studied in eleven patients (male 7, female 4) who had been examined at our hospital between January 1984 and January 1992. Their mean age was 66.2 years. All cases were in an advanced stage. The tumors were equally distributed troughout the duodenum. All patients underwent surgery and the tumors in four were resectable. All of the resectable tumors were located in the suprapapillary region, and were of the ulcerative type. The diameter of the largest tumor was 5.1 cm. Lymph node metastasis was observed in 7 patients, pancreatic invasion in 6 and liver metastasis in 3. For the early diagnosis of duodenal cancer, occult blood testing of feces, full duodenal observation by upper GI series and/or fiberscopy should be performed. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
