To retain subscribers, the newsletter content must be seen as useful. One way to measure engagement is with click through rates, defined as the number of subscribers who click on links in the newsletter. Sometimes, a particular announcement proves to be both highly engaging and “evergreen” (continually relevant to the subscribers), so it is repeatedly included in the issues of the newsletter.
