A survey was administered, yielding responses from 287 high school students and 224 college students. A comparison between high school and college students revealed that college students tended to have a greater number of role models beyond their family than high school students. Among college students, an increase in the number of non-family role models was associated with a higher frequency of descriptions regarding future time perspective. There were no significant differences observed across different academic years.
