| 内容記述 | When captopril was given to stroke-prone spontaneously hypertensive rats (M-SHRSP) in the tenth or eleventh week of age, they lived longer and their blood pressure was maintained at approximately 250 mmHg. Then, typical hypertensive papilledema appeared at the age of 40-weeks. By the time they showed signs of typical hypertensive papilledema, various vascular changes in the optic nerve developed in the early stage with captopril administration. To study the optic nerve changes in M-SHRSP, histochemical stains using acid mucopolysaccharides were used. We studied vascular endothelial cell damage using cationic cacodylate iron colloid to detect anionic sites on the endothelial cell surface. In M-SHRSP, vascular endothelial impairment appeared in the prelaminar portion of the optic nerve and the accumulation of mucopolysaccharides was observed around the laminar portion. It was suggested that occlusion of microvessels, ischemia, and accumulation of acid mucopolysaccharides play an important role in inducing hypertensive papilledema in the optic nerve of M-SHRSP. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
