However, the cockroach has expanded its distribution area to various parts of Japan in recent years with transplantation of plants such as cycads. We found large numbers of the cockroach individuals comprised the both larvae and adults at two places in the Nanko area of the Port of Osaka in Japan in 2017 through the field surveys based of the eyewitness information of the remains of the cockroach in there in 2015.
